Vijay Thomas Kurien is a music technology specialist, educator, writer, and production consultant with over 25 years of experience spanning music production, studio infrastructure, audio technology, media systems, and creator-focused education. His work bridges the worlds of musicianship, production technology, and professional audio workflows across India’s music, film, broadcast, and education sectors.
Over the years, Vijay has worked with organizations including Mukta Arts, Whistling Woods International, and Qube Cinema. At Whistling Woods International, he contributed extensively to music production and sound education, co-designing India’s first undergraduate program in Music Composition & Production while mentoring students in recording, production workflows, sound design, and studio technology.
His professional experience includes music production coordination, professional audio system integration, Pro Tools environments, studio workflows, synth programming, technical advisory, and production support for composers, producers, studios, broadcasters, and educational institutions. He has also been actively involved in creator enablement, workflow optimization, and technology adoption within India’s evolving music production ecosystem.
Apart from his technical and educational work, Vijay is also an active industry writer contributing articles on music production culture, creator workflows, studio technology, and modern music production practices for platforms including Palm Expo Magazine, Kerala in Mumbai, and Sudeep Audio.
Vijay is an AES India panelist, IRAA Awards Jury Member at Palm Expo, recipient of the Dronacharya Award for Excellence in Audio Education, and has several professional certifications and memberships to his credit in the fields of audio technology, music production, and media systems.
