Vijay Dayal

Yash Raj Films veteran sound engineer Vijay Dayal is widely regarded as one of India’s most respected recording and mixing engineers, with over two decades of experience across film music, live sound, television, and studio production.

Beginning his journey as a musician, Vijay’s fascination with the science and technical craft behind sound gradually drew him into the world of audio engineering. His early exposure to live sound engineering and session performance eventually led to a pivotal meeting with renowned engineer and producer Pramod Chandorkar, who brought him on as an assistant in 1999 — marking the beginning of his professional career in sound engineering.

Over the years, Vijay Dayal has contributed to an extraordinary body of work spanning Hindi cinema, regional films, television productions, devotional albums, and international projects. His filmography includes landmark productions such as Border (1997), Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Main Hoon Na (2004), Hum Tum (2004), Veer-Zaara (2004), Dhoom 2 (2006), Fanaa (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009), Natrang (2010), Agneepath (2012), Sairat (2016), and several Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada productions.
