Ninad Lad is a three-time Indian Recording Academy Award (IRAA)–winning sound engineer, producer, and sound designer based in Mumbai, with over 15 years of experience across advertising, feature films, OTT platforms, documentaries, and independent music. In 2025, he received the Best Sound Design award at the Mumbai International Cult Film Festival for the short film Aasmani Jhoola. Known for his precision, musicality, and refined sonic aesthetic, Ninad has mixed and designed sound for an extensive body of advertising films and mixed scores and songs for films such as M.S. Dhoni, Veere Di Wedding, Dunki, Fukrey 3, Guns & Gulaabs, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Lust Stories 2, among others. He also served as sound designer for the Japanese animated series Ninja Hattori, produced by Reliance MediaWorks. Before transitioning into sound engineering, Ninad played guitars for several rock bands earning accolades at many college fests like IIT Mood Indigo and remains actively involved in India's independent music and jazz scene. His deep musical background continues to shape his distinctive and highly musical approach to sound design and mixing.
